NFL Notes: Cardinals, Redskins, Seahawks

Cardinals

Cardinals GM Steve Keim mentioned during an interview with Doug & Wolf of 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports that they’re hoping to get LT D.J. Humphries and G Mike Iupati back in Week 4.

Fortunately for us, I think we’re going to be getting a few players back, and back this week,” Keim said, via ArizonaSports.com. “I’d like to think D.J. Humphries will return this week. I think there’s a good chance Mike Iupati can potentially return this week, so there’s two offensive line starters.”

Keim added that they’re hoping the pectoral strain suffered by G Alex Boone won’t be a major issue for him.

“He has some type of a (pectoral) strain. I don’t know the extent of it, but I know he has to get an MRI,” Keim said. “The one thing I know about Alex in the short time he’s been here is he’s extremely tough. He’s the kind of guy who will play through pain and you know, I think it would have to be pretty severe for him to miss time.”

Redskins

  • John Keim reports that Redskins rookie RB Samaje Perine suffered a bruised hand during Sunday’s game and is considered day to day.
  • Redskins HC Jay Gruden announced that OT Ty Nsekhe has a core muscle injury and will see a specialist in Philadelphia. Gruden added that he could be out a little bit. (Mike Jones)

Seahawks

  • Sources tell Ian Rapoport that Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin is day-to-day and could even play this week, despite suffering a groin strain.
