Free-agent QB Chad Kelly tweeted that he isn’t giving up on his chance to play in the NFL.
“I believe people think they know me, but in reality they only know what the media portrays me to be. Once you sit down and we converse with one another you will quickly learn of my character, passion as well as my knowledge of the great game of football!”
Tim Tebow
Raiders TE Darren Waller said he would be happy to help Jaguars TE Tim Tebow learn the position.
“I tried to find any information I could from watching guys play or asking people when I moved,” Waller said, via TMZ. “So I’d love to continue to pass that on and help him be a better player.”
Delanie Walker
Free-agent TE Delanie Walker said he thinks an opportunity to sign with a team will come soon, and he is just trying to stay ready.
“My goal is just to try and get in the best shape I can possibly get in because I know that opportunity is going to come where someone is going to need a tight end for training camp, and that’s where my opportunity is going to come,” Walker said, via Pro Football Talk. “But for right now, I couldn’t tell you who I will be playing for or what teams are looking at me. They talk to me, but at the end of the day I feel like they think that the ankle is a problem, and my age, so teams are really not trying to give me a good deal I feel like. We’ll see what happens in a time of need, when they really need a tight end.”
Walker added he is still motivated to get his first Super Bowl ring.
“I want to play football. I feel like I need to get a Super Bowl ring, so my objective is really to try to go to a team that’s a contender,” Walker said, via NFL.com. “But it is the NFL, you never know what team can be a contender, so my options are open,” Walker said. “But the thing is, it’s hard to try to stay in shape by yourself. When you go to OTAs and you do all the little minicamp, that gets you prepared for football. Then you get this little break just to stay in shape to come back into training camp. So my goal is just to try to get into the best shape I can possibly get in. Cause I know that opportunity gonna come where someone’s gonna need a tight end for training camp. And that’s where my opportunity’s gonna come.”
