NFL Notes: Cowboys, Giants, Jets, Panthers & Saints

Cowboys 

  • Todd Archer of ESPN expects HC Jason Garrett to receive a four or five-year contract extension.
  • Archer mentions that the defensive line will be the Cowboys top priority in the NFL Draft.

Giants

  • Dan Graziano of ESPN views OC Ben McAdoo as a suitable replacement at head coach when the Giants and Tom Coughlin feel it is time to make a change.
  • Graziano expects the Giants to re-sign S Antrel Rolle, while DE Jason Pierre-Paul could venture to free agency should he have a high market demand.

Jets

  • Rich Cimini of ESPN believes Jets owner Woody Johnson will listen to the teams’ disgruntled fan base and release GM John Idzik.
  • Cimini mentions LB Quinton Coples as the Jets’ lone tradeable player for possible draft pick compensation.

Panthers

Saints

  • Mike Triplett of ESPN expects the Saints to target a cornerback, guard and outside linebacker through free agency and the NFL Draft.
  • Guards Ben Grubbs and Jahri Evans could be release targets if the Saints are able to find suitable replacements via free agency or the NFL Draft.
