NFL Notes: Cowboys, Jets, Saints & Titans

Cowboys

  • Todd Archer of ESPN would be surprised to see the Cowboys get involved in any major trades in the coming weeks.
  • Although, Archer can still see them looking around to see what’s available in the trade market.
  • While Archer can’t see them parting with future draft picks, he wonders if Dallas could attempt to trade veteran RB Darren McFadden, assuming he’s healthy.
  • Another trade option could be TE Gavin Escobar if TE James Hanna can return from a knee injury.

Jets

  • According to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, there are “fair concerns” with the Jets regarding QB Ryan Fitzpatrick‘s slow start to the season.
  • However, Mehta says that there isn’t a quarterback controversy in New York just yet and the team is “full invested” in Fitzpatrick for the 2016 season.
  • Meanwhile, Mehta writes that Geno Smith is viewed as nothing more than a solid backup.

Saints

Titans

Titans TE Delanie Walker said he has a chance to play in Week 4, but also he admitted that he’ll need to see how his injured hamstring feels tomorrow before determining his status.

“I feel like I have an opportunity to play this week,’’ said Walker, via Jim Wyatt of the Titans’ official site. “We’ll see how it feels tomorrow. Today I did a lot of running.”
