NFL Notes: Cowboys, Redskins, Seahawks, Vikings

Cowboys

Redskins

During an interview with ESPN’s Adam Schefter, CB Kendall Fuller said that being traded to the Chiefs was emotional, but it wasn’t as though the Redskins were trying to get rid of him.

“It wasn’t too bad,” Fuller said. “It wasn’t like, ‘Oh, the Redskins, they were looking to get rid of me.’ They just saw this as the guy they needed to bring in. The Chiefs were bringing it to them like, ‘If you want this guy, you have to give up Kendall Fuller.’ All of them were upset that I had to go. It wasn’t like they were trying to kick me out the door. It was a little emotional.

Seahawks

  • According to Jason La Canfora, the Seahawks will likely entertain trade offers for veteran CB Richard Sherman again in 2018.
  • If the Seahawks decline to franchise DT Sheldon Richardson, La Canfora fully expects him to be one of the most sought-after free agents.

Vikings

  • Jason La Canfora points out that the Vikings have some notable players eligible for contract extensions including LB Anthony Barr, LB Stefon Diggs and CB Trae Waynes.
  • Even if the Vikings end up addressing some of these players, La Canfora says they should still have enough cap room to make big splash or two this offseason.
  • It’s worth mentioning that the Vikings have three notable quarterbacks — Case KeenumSam Bradford, and Teddy Bridgewater — in line to be free agents, so figuring out the most important position will obviously cut into their cap space quite a bit.
