- A source with knowledge of the situation tells Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk that thereโs a high degree of confidence regarding suspended Dolphins DE Dion Jordan and his compliance with all of the requirements of his treatment program and successful completion of administered drug tests.
- Florioโs source added that he isnโt aware of any reason why Jordan shouldnโt be reinstated.
- Jason Cole reports if the NFL doesnโt reinstate Jordan before his $1.7 million roster bonus thatโs due on 5th day of camp, his representatives will file grievance.
- Cole adds that Jordanโs reps also question whether the Dolphins could really wipe out his roster bonus.
49ers
- According to Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee, 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick (shoulder) has received medical clearance to perform at training camp.
- Now that that 49ers have promoted Tom Gamble to assistant general manager, Grant Cohn of The Press Democrat suggests that GM Trent Baalke could be shown the door if the 49ers donโt show progress in 2016.
Packers
- ESPNโs Ed Werder reports that the Packers believe WR Jordy Nelsonโs knee issue โ to his non-surgically repaired knee โ is tendinitis and the result of overcompensating during his rehab. Werder adds that this issue is not viewed as serious.
Redskins
- John Keim reports that the Redskin do not have much interest in some of the available pass rushers like Mike Neal and OโBrien Schofield.
