• The Miami Dolphins tried out OLB Adrian Hubbard, LB Nico Johnson, LB Rick Lovato, DB Chris Prosinski, LB Marquis Spruill, and DB Robert Steeples.

Lions

Patriots

• Seahawks RB Fred Jackson said he received a phone call from the Patriots shortly after he was released by the Bills, according to Tim Graham of the Buffalo News.

Seahawks

• ESPN’s Ed Werder reports that Seahawks S Earl Thomas isn’t 100 percent healthy right now and hasn’t hit or tackled in practice.
• However, Thomas will play free safety in their opening game against the Rams.

Steelers

• Adam Caplan of ESPN reports that the Steelers worked out former Rams C Barrett Jones this week.
