NFL Notes: Draft, Buccaneers, Jaguars, Jets, Raiders & Redskins

Draft

  • Aaron Wilson reports that Memphis CB Bobby McCain had private meeting with the Buccaneers.
  • Matt Miller reports that teams are talking to Louisiana Tech LB Houston Bates about playing fullback at the next level.
  • According to Tony Pauline, Missouri DE Shane Ray will workout for the Titans on Monday and visit the Jaguars on Tuesday.

Buccaneers

  • The Buccaneers will take a $4 million after reworking S Dashon Goldson‘s contract to facilitate a trade to the Redskins(Joel Corry)

Jaguars

  • Matt Miller is “convinced” that the Jaguars will draft Clemson OLB Vic Beasley at No. 3 overall.

Jets

  • Manish Mehta reports that DE Muhammad Wilkerson isn’t expected to participate in Phase 1 of the Jets’ voluntary offseason program (next 2 weeks).
  • According to Mehta, Wilkerson participation in Phase 2 and voluntary veteran minicamp at the end of the month is to be determined. Although, he plans to continue training on his own for the time being.

Raiders

  • According to Scott Bair, restricted free agent WR Rod Streater will sign his second-round tender on Monday, and will make $2.356 million for 2015.
  • Bair also reports that P Marquette King will sign his original-round tender, worth $1.542 million.

Redskins

  • Newly acquired S Dashon Goldson’s adjusted salary for 2015 will include a $1.6 million base salary and a $4 million guaranteed roster bonus paid on April 2.
  • Another roster bonus of $2.3 million is included for August 1 of 2016, plus a $100,000 workout bonus. (Joel Corry)
