• According to Adam Caplan, veteran TEs coach Jimmie Johnson has told some coaching colleagues that he’s joining the Jets staff as their TEs coach.

Packers

• Rob Demovsky reports that the Packers denied the Redskins’ request to interview senior personnel executive Alonzo Highsmith for a similar position in their scouting department.

Ravens

• Aaron Wilson reports that the Ravens are expected to hire former Bears TEs coach Andy Bischoff as their offensive assistant.

Seahawks

• ESPN’s Ed Werder reports that Seahawks CB Richard Sherman has torn ligaments in his elbow, but he is improving daily and has finished his treatment.
