Redskins

  • Redskins HC Jay Gruden confirmed that they’ve discussed a new deal with LB Zach Brown, who will be a free agent in the coming months. Gruden added that they would like to have Brown back, but he also understands he might want to test the free agent market. (JP Finlay)
  • Gruden said that there’s no tension with Kirk Cousins and his recent comments were about the whole team needing to play better, bot just one player. (JP Finlay)
  • We have Brown and Cousins featured in our Top 100 – 2018 NFL Free Agents list.

Vikings

Vikings HC Mike Zimmer told reporters on Tuesday that Teddy Bridgewater returning from the devastating knee injury he suffered in 2016 was impressive enough, let along being able to appear in an NFL game.

There was 24 of these similar types of injuries through all sports,” Zimmer said, via ESPN.com. “Half of them never came back, and I think the earliest one that anybody ever came back was 24 months. So, for him to even get to that point where he was and be able to come out and practice and compete in a game was a true credit to him.”

Zimmer wasn’t prepared to discuss the team’s plans for the quarterback position at this time.

Have I thought about it? Yeah,” Zimmer said. “But quite honestly up until about 3 a.m. yesterday or whatever time it was the game got over the other night, my whole focus has been on the now, not so much the future and (general manager) Rick Spielman and I had talked about that earlier. We said let’s just go through the season, let’s figure it out after the season, we’ll go through that process and go from there and see how that goes. We’re just going to work through it.
