Dwayne Bowe
Adam Teicher of ESPN was asked if he thinks the Chiefs will release veteran WR Dwayne Bowe following the 2014 season.
Teicher admits that this is a possibility, but it’s “far from a done deal.” According to Teicher, Bowe remains their best receiver and still serves a purpose within their offense.
Bowe’s $10.75 million base salary for the 2015 season is no longer guaranteed following the one-game suspension. So far this season, Bowe has caught 11 passes for 153 yards and no touchdowns over the course of three games.
This is a situation we’ll be monitoring once the 2014 season has concluded.
Chiefs
- Adam Teicher of ESPN doesn’t any reason to rush negotiations with OLB Justin Houston regarding a long-term extension given that they have plenty of time to work out a deal and also have their franchise tag at their disposal.
Cowboys
- Cowboys promoted LB Keith Smith from their practice squad.
Eagles
- The Eagles met with free agent OL Julian Vandervelde. (Field Yates)
Raiders
- ESPN’s Bill Williamson wouldn’t rule out the Raiders re-signing veteran DB Charles Woodson next year and believes Oakland would allow him to play as long as he wants.
