NFL Notes: Ezekiel Elliott, Cardinals, Jets

Ezekiel Elliott

The woman who accused Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott of domestic violence last year spoke out regarding the situation in a social media post.

“Exactly 1 year ago today my life changed forever,” the woman accuser said, via TMZ. “I finally got the strength to be the strong woman I was and got myself out of a very toxic relationship. Ladies never think you’re too in love or too scared to leave because at one point that was me. There’s plenty of opportunities out there for you. Love yourself first. Speak up and stop domestic violence.

Cardinals

Cardinals veteran G Mike Iupati dropped 15 pounds this offseason and says he’s feeling great as a result.

“I feel lighter,” Iupati said, via ESPN. “[It’ll] help the knees and [I’ll] just be able to move faster and play better.

Iupati mentioned that losing weight should actually “help the knees out” move forward.

Cardinals HC Bruce Arians thinks this could help Iupati’s athleticism and stamina this season.

“I think it’ll help his stamina,” Arians said. “He’s a great athlete for a big man, so he should be even more athletic.

Jets

  • The Jets promoted director of player personnel Brian Heimerdinger to vice president of player personnel.
  • New York elevated Matt Bazirgan to director of college scouting, replacing Rex Hogan, who took a personnel job with the Indianapolis Colts.
