Joseph Randle

  • Ed Werder reports that one NFL team that was previously interested in former Cowboys RB Joseph Randle is no longer pursuing him now that he’s suspended four games.

Los Angeles

  • Panthers owner Jerry Richardson says he’s backing the Carson project that will put the Chargers and Raiders together in Los Angles. (Jason Cole)
  • Jason Cole believes it’s fair to say based on early reactions, the Chargers and Raiders to Los Angeles received a huge boost today with Disney CEO Bob Iger‘s announcement.

Buccaneers

  • Buccaneers OT Demar Doctson says he was told Wednesday morning that Gosder Cherilus will remain the team’s starting right tackle. (Greg Auman)

Jaguars

  • Jaguars WR Allen Hurns says he’s out of the walking boot and believes he will play Sunday, despite the foot injury lingering. (Hays Carlyon)

Packers

Packers HC Mike McCarthy confirmed that James Starks has supplanted Eddie Lacy as the team’s No. 1 running back, even though they still expect to get Lacy involved.

“I would say James (Starks) is our No. 1 back right now going into Detroit,” McCarthy said. “He’s earned that opportunity. We’ll stay with a 1-2 punch.”
