Mike Garafolo mentions that this will only add to the talk that Umenyiora could possibly return to the Giants next season.

Lions
Lions GM Martin Mayhew has no issue with Calvin Johnsonโs cap figures of $20.55 million for 2015 and $24 million in 2016.
โCalvin is a stud,โ Mayhew said, via Tim Twentyman of DetroitLions.com. โCalvin is a great player. Heโs a phenomenal player. He has a very bright future. I plan on him being around for a long time.โ
Mayhew added that the injuries Johnsonโs dealt with in recent years arenโt a concern of his.
โSometimes guys get injured,โ Mayhew said. โItโs not a big concern for me. Heโs another guy whoโs tough. He gets out there and he plays. There was one game this year, I think it was Buffalo, he gutted it out. This guy goes to war every week.โ
