NFL Notes: Quarterbacks, Bengals, Bills, Browns, & Jaguars

Quarterbacks

• Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk takes a look at several quarterback options that could be available next year in free agency.
• Florio’s list consists of 20 veteran quarterbacks worth keeping an eye on in the coming month.

Bengals

• Bengals HC Marvin Lewis said the team will decide whether to activate RB Cedric Peerman from their injured reserve on Saturday. (Katherine Terrell)
• Bengals FS Shawn Williams is doubtful for Sunday’s game, while backup S Derron Smith is questionable after missing Friday’s practice.

Bills

• Although Bills listed WR Sammy Watkins (foot, I.R.) as questionable, HC Rex Ryan said, “I think he’s good to go.” (Ian Rapoport)
• Bills OC Anthony Lynn says Watkins was on a “pitch count” in practice this week and that he was running at “three quarters speed“, while his “long speed wasn’t there.”
• Buffalo has ruled out RB Mike Gillislee (hamstring) from Week 12, while RB LeSean McCoy (thumb) and WR Percy Harvin (illness) are questionable.
• Regarding McCoy’s status, Ryan said, “I think his thumb’s fine. I think he’ll be ready to get the majority of the reps.” (Nick Veronica)

Browns

• The Browns have ruled out QB Cody Kessler (concussion) from Week 12 and listed CB Tramon Williams (knee) and CB Ed Reynolds (knee) as questionable. (Mary Kay Cabot)

Jaguars

• The Jaguars have ruled out DE Jared Odrick, DE Chris Smith, LB Dan Skuta and TE Julius Thomas for Sunday’s game.
• Jacksonville has listed RB T.J. Yeldon (ankle) as questionable for Week 12.
