NFL Notes: Rob Bironas, Bills, Colts, Patriots, Raiders

Rob Bironas

Former Titans K Rob Bironas reportedly had a blood alcohol level nearly three times the legal limit when he died in a car crash, according to Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean

A low level of Valium was also detected in his system, but a medical examiner said that this would have had a “negligible effect” on Bironas’ body.

Bills

Colts

  • The Colts waived FB/LB Mario Harvey from injured reserve with an injury settlement.

Patriots

Raiders

ESPN’s Adam Schefter writes that the Raiders would like hire Jon Gruden if this were a “perfect world.” However, Schefter adds that Gruden has yet to show a true willingness to leave the broadcast booth, which could leave the Raiders shopping around at the conclusion of the regular season.

Schefter suggests Seahawks OC Darrell Bevell or Eagles OC Pat Shurmur as two options for the Raiders to consider given that they would be a change of pace from the defensive-minded coach they had in Dennis Allen.
