NFL Notes: Trent Richardson, 49ers, Raiders, Ravens & Texans

Trent Richardson

• Free agent RB Trent Richardson returned to Alabama last week to help the team prepare for LSU star Leonard Fournette, according to Matt Zenitz of AL.com.
• Alabama coach Nick Saban received permission to have Richardson help them out on their scout team.

49ers

• Chris Jones of KNBR reports that the more the 49ers keep losing under HC Chip Kelly, the more it appears as though Kelly is headed for a “collision course” year-end meeting with GM Trent Baalke.

Raiders

• Regarding suspended OLB Aldon Smith, Raiders HC Jack Del Rio said it’s “good news” Smith expects to be back next week but he is still in the dark due to league’s “questionable policy.” (Vic Tafur)
• Del Rio said that he believes the NFL is holding off on reinstating Smith in order to: “[M]ake sure (Aldon Smith) gets his life together first.” (Vic Tafur)

Ravens

• Adam Caplan reports that the Ravens worked out tight ends Mitchell Henry (signed) and Kennard Backman.

Texans

• Adam Caplan reports that the Texans worked out tight ends Rashaun Allen (signed) and Kyle Carter.
