NFL Notes: Waiver Claim Order, 49ers, Giants, Texans

Waiver Claim Order

On Tuesday, the NFL’s waiver wire order adjusts from this year’s draft order to the current record of NFL teams. Field Yates of ESPN posted the updated waiver priority this morning, which consists of:

  • T1. CIN
  • T1. CLE
  • T1. SF
  • 4. NYG
  • 5. LAC
  • 6. IND
  • T7. HOU
  • T7. SEA
  • 9. ARI
  • 10. NYJ
  • 11. NO
  • 12. CHI
  • 13. MIA
  • 14. TB
  • 15. BAL
  • T16. CAR
  • T16. DAL
  • T16. LAR
  • T16. PIT
  • T20. DEN
  • T20. DET

  • T24. NE
  • T24. OAK
  • T24. PHI

  • 30. WAS
  • 31. KC
  • 32. ATL

In the event that teams who have the same waiver priority claim the same player, the NFL would break the tie with a coin flip.

  • According to Matt Maiocco, the 49ers are planning to activate defensive linemen Tank Carradine and Ronald Blair from the injured reserve list later on this season.

Giants

  • Jordan Raanan reports that the injury sustained by Giants RB Orleans Darkwa’s injury is “nothing major” and chances are he practices this week.

Texans

  • Jason La Canfora mentions that with all of the poor offensive line play going on around the league, “teams should be all over the Texans trying to acquire [holdout] OT Duane Brown.
