NFL Rumors: Cowboys Plan For RB DeMarco Murray

Jacques-Jean Taylor of the Dallas Morning News suggests that rookie RB DeMarco Murray could end up being the Dallas Cowboys starting RB for the 2011 season.

โ€œDeMarco Murray will challengeย Felix Jones for the starting running back position, and thereโ€™s no reason why he shouldnโ€™t expect to win the job. Jones has been a disappointment, and the Cowboys have provided a catalyst for him to play his best football,โ€ Taylor writes.

Jones has dealt with injuries in both of his first-two season with the Cowboys and Marion Barber will almostย undoubtedly be gone once free agency is underway which should give him a chance to prove that he can be the teams starting running back. However, head coach Jason Garrett has supported the idea of Felix Jones being the teams No. 1 RB so Murray will have to have a convincing offseason in order to have a shot at starting week 1.
