NFL Rumors: Dolphins Drafting A QB At #15?

As the NFL Draft nears, there is a lot of momentum building behind the idea of the Miami Dolphins will be starting Chad Henne was the 2011 is finally underway but that doesnโ€™t mean that the Dolphins will not draft a quarterback for the future.

Omar Kelly of the Sun Sentinel reports that the Jeff Ireland and Tony Sparano both intend on taking a long look at the majority of quarterbacks that will be available in the upcoming draft and specifically mentions Cam Newton and Jake Locker. Kelly includes Nevadaโ€™s Colin Kaepernick, FSUโ€™s Christian Ponder, Idahoโ€™s Nathan Enderle, and FAUโ€™s Jeff Van Camp as other quarterbacks that the Dolphins plan on working out before the draft.

Even if Miami grabs a quarterback at some point in the draft, the uncertain labor situation increases Henneโ€™s chances of starting the 2011 season. There still remains a chance that they could look to the free agent market for a veteran quarterback but it looks like drafting is more likely.
