Brent Grimes has blossomed into one of the Atlanta Falcons best defensive players in recent years which was evident by first selection to the Pro Bowl in 2010.
Dan Parr of Pro Football Weekly writes that even though Grimes didn’t receive a longterm extension from the Falcons, he’s still in a good position to possibly get a deal done during the upcoming season.
Players are still not sure what their free agent status will be for this year so there’s a chance that he could end up being a restricted free agent which would allow the team to offer him a tender rather than a longterm contract.
