Mike Garafolo was able to get some remarks from New York Giants DT Barry Cofield regarding his future with the team. Cofield was straight forward about his future saying that his “time’s probably up” with the Giants.
Cofield was asked about the teams decision to draft DT Marvin Austin in the second-round of the 2011 draft.
“It almost gave me a sense of closure. It just made me think my time’s probably up,” Cofield said. “I don’t feel pressure, uptightness or anger when they draft a guy. I just want my fair chance.”
There will be plenty of teams interested in him once the free agent market is open for business. The Denver Broncos are already said to have interest but anyone of the Seahawks, Redskins, Rams, Bears and Vikings could land him.
