Now that Tim Tebow has officially taken over as the teams starting quarterback for the remainder of the 2010 season, Kyle Orton future with the Broncos is becoming a hot topic.
ESPN’s Bill Williamson addressed Orton situation by mentioning that the Broncos have several holes to fill and Orton could be one their best trade chip. If the Broncos choose to get rid of Orton, Brady Quinn could slide into the backup role leaving Tebow as their starter.
Despite the teams struggles, Orton was very productive this season but the teams offense became one-dimensional as the season went on. Since Orton signed a two-year extension during August which will increase his from $2.62 million to a total of $8.8 million in 2011 he is likely to shopped around in an attempt to clear cap space or acquire draft picks.
