NFL Rumors: Marshon Lattimore, Draft, Dolphins, Titans

Marshon Lattimore

• Jason Cole of B/R reports that Ohio State CB Marshon Lattimore‘s hamstring issues are a concern for NFL teams and there is a growing possibility that he could fall out of the top 10 of the 2017 NFL Draft.
• Though the strength of this year’s cornerbacks class could play into Lattimore being pushed down in the draft, Cole mentions that teams are also doubting that he can remain healthy for a full season.
• For what it’s worth, Matt Miller of B/R teams are “in love” with Lattimore and he could potentially go in the top five: “Marshon Lattimore has a great chance to go 5, maybe even 3 or 2. Teams are in love with this kid.” (Connor Rogers)

Draft

• Matt Miller’s hunch is the Jets would love for a team to trade ahead of them to take UNC QB Mitch Trubisky.
• Miller has spoken to GMs and scouts who consider the Cardinals and Chiefs to be potential landing spots for Texas Tech QB Patrick Mahomes.
• According to Miller, the “hot rumor” among GMs right now is the Bears taking OSU CB Marshon Lattimore. In fact, Miller spoke with one executive who is “99 percent sure” the Bears would draft a defensive back if they keep the No. 3 overall pick.
• In regards to the Saints, Miller says that New Orleans would “love” to see Alabama LB Reuben Foster available to them at No. 11 overall.
• Miller believes Colorado CB Chidobe Awuzie has a “very real chance” at being drafted in the first round. (Connor Rogers)
• An NFL scout tells Miller: “Don’t be surprised if [Curtis] Samuel goes ahead of Dalvin Cook.”

Dolphins

• Connecticut S Obi Melifonwu is visiting the Dolphins on Thursday. (Aaron Wilson)

Titans

• Matt Miller has confirmed with scouting sources that the Titans are interested in Ohio State CB Marshon Lattimore and Clemson WR Mike Williams at No. 5 overall.
