Depending on what happens with the new requirements for unrestricted free agency, Indianapolis Colts S Melvin Bullitt could be one of the more popular names during the offseason. As of now it appears as though Bullitt will end being aย restricted-free agent once free agency is underway so the Colts will have shot at retaining him for a decent price.
This is idea supported by ESPN’s AFC South blogger Paul Kuharsky who mentions that a NFL scout see’s Bullitt as being “a popular commodity” is he ends up as an unrestricted free agent.
The market for Bullitt should be fairly large considering that theย Texans,ย Jaguars,ย Bengals,ย Cowboys,ย ย Vikings,ย Jets,ย Eagles,ย Seahawks andย Buccaneersย are all in need of help at the safety position. Other popular safety options would include, Eric Weddle (SD), Dawan Landry (BAL) and Quintin Mikell (Phi).
