According to Tom Pelissero, the NFL and NFLPA have agreed to remove the limit on practice squad elevations for teams in the postseason.
Previously, teams could only elevate a player from the practice squad to the active roster twice per season without having to place them on waivers to get them back to the practice squad.
After a player’s two elevations had been used up, teams either had to keep them on the roster or subject them to waivers to return them to the practice squad.
This will allow teams in the playoffs to make moves without fear of their players being poached by other teams.
Pelissero adds the NFL also plans to continue daily COVID-19 testing throughout the postseason. Teams will remain in the intensive protocols throughout the playoffs. The league also laid out guidelines for offseason testing and workout rules.
The NFL also informed clubs daily testing and intensive protocols will continue throughout the playoffs, and laid out guidelines for clubโs offseason testing and workout rules, including a 20-player maximum inside facilities. Full memo: pic.twitter.com/R1bwMiCh9s

The league is attempting to remain on top of things as it nears the close of the regular season. Only 16 of the 256 games in the regular season remain to be played, with 13 postseason games to come as well.
We’ll have more on the NFL’s pandemic protocols as the news is available.
