Nick Fairley Returning In The Coming Weeks?

Chris McCosky of the Detroit News updates the status of first-round draft pick DT Nick Fairley by mentioning that he looks to be close to returning.

Lions head coach doesn’t appear to be willing to rush Fairley back until he’s healthy.

“With the depth that we have, it helps us not have to be impatient or make a bad decision,” Schwartz explained. “We don’t have to put any player out before he’s ready. That’s been a help in this situation.”

Fairley is recovering from a broken foot that suffered early on in training camp.
