Oklahoma State CB Justin Gilbert announced via his Twitter account Sunday night that he is in New York visiting with the Jets and will later travel to meet with the Broncos, Lions and Falcons in the coming days.
Gilbert previously met with the Saints and is considered to be in the discussion for the No. 1 cornerback in this year’s draft.
It’s hard to not notice how physically gifted Gilbert is as he possesses good size and overall athletic ability. He even contributed on special teams as a kick returner, but there are some consistency issues with him as well.
Last year, Gilbert totaled 42 tackles, seven interceptions, two defensive touchdowns while generating a kick return average of over 25 yards per attempt. He even returned one for touchdown.
