New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin addressed DE Osi Umenyiora possible return to the practice field on Tuesday.
“Hopefully Thursday, Osi will be ready to practice,” Coughlin said, per Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPNNewYork.com. “If there is not any type of setback then I would expect that.”
An earlier report suggested that Umenyiora was likely to miss week 3’s game against Philadelphia.
Even if he’s able to return to the practice field, it seems unlikely that he would be able to be ready for Sunday’s game. The Giants need more news about players returning as the have been decimated by injuries thus far.
