Packers Activate OLB Vince Biegel From PUP List, Place S Kentrell Brice On IR

The Green Bay Packers announced Friday that they’ve activated OLB Vince Biegel from PUP list and placed S Kentrell Brice on injured reserve.

  • The Packers also promoted CB Donatello Brown to their active roster and signed TE Emanuel Byrd to the practice squad.

Biegel, 23, was selected with the No. 108 overall pick by the Packers in this year’s NFL Draft. Green Bay actually got this pick for trading out of round one with the Browns. Biegel signed a four-year contract worth $3,093,748 and includes a signing bonus of $693,748.

The Packers placed Biegel on the PUP list coming out of the preseason.

During his college career at Wisconsin, Biegel recorded 131 tackles, 28.5 tackles for a loss, 15 sacks, two forced fumbles and three pass defenses over the course of 36 games.

Brice, 23, wound up signing on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Louisiana Tech last year. He has managed to make the 53-man roster in each of his two seasons in the NFL.

Brice is in the second year of his three-year, $1.62 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $630,000 next season.

In 2017, Brice appeared in six games for the Packers and recorded 23 tackles, one interception and three pass defenses.
