Packers CB Casey Hayward Set To Miss A Month Of Action

Bob McGinn and Tyler Dunne of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel report that Packers CB Casey Hayward is expected to miss at least a month of action.

Having initially been diagnosed with a minor hamstring injury during training camp, Hayward suffered a setback in his recovery during the team’s third preseason game and is now expected to be out for a noticeable period of time.

In Hayward’s absence, Tramon Williams and Sam Shields will likely start on the outside with rookie fifth-round pick Micah Hyde manning the nickelback spot.

Hayward was expected to have a bigger role with the team following an impressive rookie season, which included seven interceptions.
