The Green Bay Packers have claimed DT Anthony Rush off of waivers from the Bears on Wednesday, according to Field Yates.
Rob Demovsky adds that the Packers placed LB James Burgess (hamstring) and DT Montravius Adams (toe) on injured reserve.
It’s worth mentioning that the NFL changed the rules regarding injured reserve for the 2020 season and players can return from the list in just three weeks.
Rush, 24, initially signed with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of UAB in 2019. However, the Eagles waived Rush before the start of camp.
Rush caught on with the Raiders but was again waived coming out of the preseason. From there, he re-signed to the Eagles’ active roster, but was waived again coming out of camp this year.
He had a brief stint on the Seahawks’ practice squad before catching on with the Bears a few weeks ago.
In 2020, Rush has appeared in four games for the Seahawks and recorded six tackles and 0.5 sacks.
