Bob McGinn of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinelย reports the Green Bay Packers met with Texans C Chris Myers‘ agent Drew Rosenhaus while at the combine.
This would qualify as tampering but this is still common practice for NFL teams at the combine.
Green Bay was believed to be discussing a contract extension with their own C Scott Wells but he is reportedly asking for a base salary of $7 million per season while the Packers are looking for something in the range of $4-$5 million.
Both players have been two of the best at their respective positions but Wells is a year older and is considered to be under-sized for the position. Meyers is considered by many to the best available player at center so it will be interesting to see if they make a run at him once free agency begins.
