Tom Peilssero of NFL Media reports that the Packers are expected to place DL Billy Winn on injured reserve with a triceps injury that is not considered season-ending.

Pelissero says that Winn doesn’t have a tear and the plan is for him to return from injured reserve in three weeks.

The Packers are also likely to place RB Tyler Ervin on injured reserve with a foot injury that will not require surgery. However, Pelissero admits that he could miss at least a month, which would likely end his season.

Winn, 31, is a former sixth-round pick of the Browns back in 2012 out of Boise State. He signed a four-year rookie deal through the 2015 season.

At the start of 2015, Winn was traded by the Browns to the Colts for a conditional seventh-round pick. From there, he signed on with the Broncos the following year and returned to Denver in 2019 on a one-year deal.

The Broncos placed Winn on injured reserve last year with a triceps injury and opted to cut him loose this past March. He signed on to the Packers’ practice squad in September and was later added to their active roster.

In 2020, Winn has appeared in six games for the Packers and recorded six tackles, no sacks and two passes defended.
