According to Aaron Reiss, the Packers inquired with the Texans about a potential trade for WR Will Fuller.
However, Reiss adds no deal is imminent. The Texans aren’t trading players just to trade despite their record and are seeking full value for players.
Packers HC Matt LaFleur was an assistant at Notre Dame while Fuller was in college and raved about him in a recent press conference. Green Bay has been exploring adding a receiver before next week’s trade deadline.
Houston has fielded a ton of calls ahead of the deadline and the Texans have multiple receivers who could be on the move soon.
Fuller, 26, is a former first-round pick of the Texans back in 2016. He was entering the final year of his four-year, $10.164 million contract and stood to make a base salary of $1.83 million for the 2019 season when the Texans exercised his fifth-year option last offseason.
The option is worth $10.1 million for the 2020 season. Fuller will be an unrestricted free agent in 2021.
In 2020, Fuller has appeared in six games for the Texans and caught 28 passes for 455 yards and four touchdowns.
We’ll have more on Fuller and the Texans as the news is available.
