Packers In Negotiations With C Corey Linsley Regarding Extension

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that the Packers are currently in ongoing negotiations with C Corey Linsley regarding an extension.

Green Bay just recently locked up G Lane Taylor to a new three-year deal, so it appears they’ve now turned their attention to Linsley.

Linsley, 26, is a former fifth-round pick of the Packers back in 2014. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $2,405,000 contract and stands to make a base salary of $1.838 million for the 2017 season.

Linsley has dealt with some injuries since entering the NFL and missed a good portion of last season while on injured reserve before he was activated later on in the year.

In 2016, Linsley appeared in nine games for the Packers.

We’ll have more regarding as the news is available.
