Packers Place WR Kevin Dorsey On I.R. & Sign OT Jamon Meredith

The Green Bay Packers announced Saturday that they have placed WR Kevin Dorsey on season-ending injured reserve and signed OT Jamon Meredith to their active roster.

Dorsey reportedly suffered a serious foot injury during practice a few days ago and it appeared as though his 2014 season was likely coming to an end.

While Dorsey wasn’t utilized much in the Packers’ offense, he was one of their best special teams contributors.

Meredith, 28, is actually a former fifth-round pick of the Packers back in 2009, so they are more than familiar with what he brings to the table.

This year, he has appeared in four games while playing for the Indianapolis Colts.

The fact that Green Bay bolstered their offensive line for Sunday’s game against the Bears could be seen as an indication that either Josh Sitton or T.J. Lang may not be able to play. However, this could also be a move to add some depth in case either player suffers a setback.
