The Green Bay Packers claimed CB Deante Burton off of waivers from the Falcons on Tuesday and placed WR Trevor Davis on injured reserve.
- Green Bay also signed CB Will Redmond to their practice squad and released S Marwin Evans from the unit.
The Packers’ practice squad now consists of:
- RB Joel Bouagnon
- C Austin Davis
- LB Kendall Donnerson
- FB Joe Kerridge
- DL Tyler Lancaster
- DL James Looney
- LB Greer Martini
- G/T Adam Pankey
- CB Tony Brown
- CB Will Redmond
Davis, 24, is a former fifth-round pick of the Packers back in 2016. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2.5 million contract and set to make base salaries of $630,000 and $720,000 over the first two years of the agreement.
In 2017, Davis appeared in all 16 games for the Packers and caught five passes for 70 yards. He totaled 707 kick return yards and 289 punt return yards for the Packers.
Burton, 24, wound up signing on with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Kansas State back in May of last year. He was waived coming ouot of the preseason and was later signed to their practice squad.
The Falcons brought Burton back on a futures contract this past January only to waive him again at the start of the regular season.
In 2018, Burton has appeared in one game and recorded one tackle for the Falcons.
