The Packers announced that QB Brett Hundley suffered a hamstring injury during Sunday’s win over the Bears, per Pete Dougherty.
Hundley was able to finish out the game and even complete a huge pass down the field late in the fourth quarter, but this will be something to keep an eye on for the Packers moving forward.
Green Bay currently has Joe Callahan behind Hundley at quarterback, but if Hundley’s injury ends up being an issue, it would not be surprising to see them add someone next week.
The Packers have had their struggles even with Hundley, so it would be hard to imagine them having much of a chance if he’s out for any period of time.
Hundley, 24, is a former fifth-round pick of the Packers back in 2015. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2.504 million contract that included a $223,632 signing bonus and stands to make base salaries of $615,000 and $705,000 over the next two years of the agreement.
Entering today’s game, Hundley had appeared in four games and completed 58.8 percent of his passes for 489 yards to go along with one touchdown and four interceptions. He has also rushed for 69 yards.
We’ll have more regarding Hundley’s injury as the news is available.
