Packers Re-Signing LB Jordan Tripp

Aaron Nagler of PackersNews.com reports that the Packers are re-signing LB Jordan Tripp to a contract on Wednesday.

Tripp, 25, is a former fifth-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2014. He lasted just over a year in Miami before he was waived and later signed to the Jaguarsโ€™ practice squad.

Jacksonville, unfortunately, cut Tripp loose coming out of the preseason and he signed on to the Seahawksโ€™ practice squad at the start of the season. Seattle eventually promoted him to their active roster back in October before waiving him from injured reserve with a settlementย in December.

The Packers signed him to a contract soon after and he finished out the year in Green Bay.

Tripp was in line to be a restricted free agent, but the Packers did not tender him a contract.

In 2016, Tripp appeared in nine games and recorded two tackles while contributing on special teams.
