Packers Release NT Deon Simon From Practice Squad

The Green Bay Packers officially released NT Deon Simon from their practice squad on Saturday.

This gives the Packers an open spot on the 10-man unit to add someone next week.

Here’s the Packers updated practice squad:

Simon, 28, is a former seventh-round pick of the Jets back in 2015. He spent over three years in New York before he was waived coming out of the preseason.

After a brief stint with the Titans, Simon signed on to the Packers’ practice squad in September.

In 2016, Simon appeared in all 16 games for the Jets and recorded 24 tackles and 1.5 sacks.
