Packers Waive CB Makinton Dorleant

Field Yates of ESPN is reporting that the Packers have placed CB Makinton Dorleant on waivers Tuesday.

This comes shortly after the news that Dorleant was arrestedĀ for interference.

Dorleant, 24, signed on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Northern Iowa. He wound up making the teamā€™s 53-man roster but landed on the injured reserve after sustaining a hamstring injury during the preseason.

The Packers later activated Dorleant from their injured reserveĀ but he, unfortunately, suffered a torn ACL soon after.

Dorleant is in the second year of his three-year, $1.62 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $540,000 for the 2017 season.

In 2016, Dorleant appeared in four games for the Packers and recorded one tackle and no interceptions.
