Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Packers WR Davante Adams had an MRI on Friday for his turf toe injury. Sources tell Rapoport that Adams’ injury is not believed to be serious.
According to Rapoport, the Packers plan to careful with Adams, but if he misses time, it may not a lot.
This is, obviously, good news for Green Bay, as losing Adams for any amount of time would be a big blow to their offense.
The Packers have 10 days until they play the Cowboys, so Adams’ Week 5 status will be a big topic in the coming weeks.
Adams, 26, is a former second-round pick out of Fresno State by the Packers in the 2014 NFL Draft. He was in the final year of a four-year, $3.933 million rookie contract when the Packers signed him to a four-year extension worth $58 million.
Adams stands to make base salaries of $2.5 million and $12 million over the next two years of the agreement.
In 2019, Adams has appeared in four games and caught 25 passes for 378 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
