Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network reports that the Carolina Panthers are worried that their star LB Jon Beason has torn his Achilles during the Sunday’s game against the Cardinals.
Heading into Sunday’s game, there were reports that Beason could be held out of the game because of a nagging injury but was ultimately inserted into the teams starting lineup and wound up leaving with an injury.
Beason was one of several players that the Panthers re-signed during the short lived offseason. He received a six-year, $51.338 million contract which $25 million guaranteed money.
Tough loss for the Panthers.
