Adam Schefter reports that Panthersย LB Thomas Davis is being suspended two games for his blindside hit on Packers WR Davante Adams during Sunday’s game.
Schefter adds that Davis will appeal the ban.

Davis knocked Adams out of the game after Aaron Rodgers threw an interception and heย turned to block Adams, but wound up hitting him helmet-to-helmet.
Davis, 34, is a former first-round pick of the Panthers back in 2005. He was in the final year of his three-year, $18 million contractย that includesย $11.5 million guaranteed when he and the Panthers agreed to aย one-year, $6.75 million extension through 2018.
In 2017, Davis has appeared in 14 games and recorded 66 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and a fumble recovery.ย Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 25 linebacker out of 92 qualifying players.
