Panthers Re-Sign S Colin Jones To A Two-Year, $2.6 Million Deal

According to the Athletic’s Joe Person, the Panthers have re-signed S Colin Jones to a two-year contract.

The Charlotte Observer’s Jourdan Rodrigue confirms the deal, saying Jones’ contract is worth $2.6 million.

Jones, 31, is a former seventh-round pick of the 49ers back in 2011. He spent one year in San Francisco before he was traded to the Panthers at the start of the 2012 season.

Carolina elected to bring him back on a two-year extension back in 2014 and again following the 2016 season.

In 2018, Jones appeared in all 16 games, recording 16 total tackles, one interception, one fumble recovery for a touchdown and one pass defense.
