Panthers Request Interview With Chiefs Execs. Ryan Poles & Brandt Tilis

According to Ian Rapoport, the Panthers have requested an interview with Chiefs assistant director of player personnel Ryan Poles for their general manager job. 

Peter Schrager reports Carolina has also requested permission to interview Chiefs director of football administration Brandt Tilis. He has been with the Chiefs the past 11 seasons. 

Here’s an updated list of candidates linked to the Panthers GM job:

  • 49ers VP of player personnel Adam Peters
  • Former Giants GM Jerry Reese 
  • Saints VP/assistant GM of college personnel Jeff Ireland
  • Colts assistant GM Ed Dodds
  • Seahawks VP of football operations Scott Fitterer
  • Patriots director of player personnel Nick Caserio (Requested)
  • Bills assistant GM Joe Schoen (Requested)
  • Browns VP of Football Operations Kwesi Adofo-Mensah (Requested)
  • Chiefs assistant director of player personnel Ryan Poles (Requested)
  • Chiefs Director of Football Administration Brandt Tilis (Requested)

Poles, 35, joined the Chiefs as a scouting assistant in 2009. He’s risen through the ranks, becoming the director of college scouting in 2017 and adding assistant director of player personnel to his title in 2018.
