The Carolina Panthers officially placed K Elliott Fry and DB Dominique Hatfield on waivers Thursday.
The Panthers also announced that they’ve signed DE DaVonte Lambert and CB Derrek Thomas to contracts.
Fry, 24, wound up going undrafted out of South Carolina back in 2017. Fry joined the Orlando Apollos of the now-defunct AAF this past spring and converted all 14 field goals he attempted with a long of 44 yards.
The Bears signed him to a contract this offseason before cutting him loose during the preseason. He had a brief stint with the Ravens before signing a futures contract with the Panthers this past January.
During his four-year college career, Fry converted 66 of 88 field goal attempts (75 percent) to go along with 161 of 162 extra point tries (99.4 percent) over the course of 51 games.
