According to Max Henson, the Panthers waived TE Thomas Duarte.
The Panthers signed Duarte following his spring-2019 stint in the now-defunct AAF with the Arizona Hotshots.
Duarte, 24, is a former seventh-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2016. He agreed to a four-year contract with the Dolphins, but was cut loose a few months later.
After being on and off of the Dolphins’ practice squad over the next two seasons, Duarte eventually signed on to the Chargers’ taxi squad last September.
In 2016, Duarte was active for just a single game and didn’t record a statistic.
During his three-year college career at UCLA, Duarte recorded 97 receptions for 1,626 yards and 17 touchdowns.
