According to Field Yates, the Patriots picked up WR Matthew Slater‘s contract option for the 2019 season.
Yates adds that Slater earned a $400,000 roster bonus on Wednesday.
Slater, 33, is a former fifth-round pick of the Patriots back in 2008. He’s played all 10 seasons of his NFL career with the Patriots and is a seven-time Pro Bowl selection.
He signed a two-year contract with New England last offseason, which included a team-option for 2019.
In 2018, Slater had no receptions but contributes heavily as the Patriots gunner on special teams.
